Driving Exam Prep and Vehicle Rental

Service Description

Includes pick-up, driving skills exam review, transportation to a Leon County driver exam site, use of the vehicle during the driver exam, and return drop-off. Our exam vehicle is a 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Rental includes all fees and applicable taxes. IMPORTANT: The Leon County Tax Collector / Driver Examiner requires an appointment. Expect your appointment to last approximately 45 minutes from arrival at the testing location to receiving your driver license. Please schedule your pickup time with Burgess Driving School approximately 90 MINUTES before your Driving Test appointment time. This will allow enough time to practice the driving skills that will be on the exam and arrive to the testing location on time.

Cancellation Policy

BOOKING POLICY Pickup and Drop-off: Students can choose any safe and legal location for pickup and drop-off within the Tallahassee area. Locations must be set and confirmed at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING Notice Requirement: To cancel or reschedule a lesson without penalty, at least 24 hours’ notice is required. Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the lesson cost. No-Shows: Failure to appear for a scheduled lesson without prior notification will result in a charge of the full lesson fee. LATE ARRIVAL POLICY Student Late Arrival: If a student arrives late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time, and no adjustment in fees will be made. If the instructor is already present, the waiting time will be included as part of the lesson duration. Instructor Late Arrival: If the instructor is late, the lesson will be extended to cover the full scheduled duration, or a proportional fee reduction will be provided for the time lost. SMS TEXTING ALERTS Alerts and Notifications: We use SMS texting to send reminders and alerts about upcoming lessons. We may also use SMS to notify you of any changes or important information related to your scheduled lessons. Consent: By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from us for the purposes mentioned. Privacy: Your phone number will only be used for sending lesson-related communications. We will not share your number with any third parties nor use it for marketing purposes. REFUND POLICY Refunds: Refunds for cancelled lessons will be processed according to the cancellation rules outlined above. Refunds may take up to 7-10 business days to appear on your account. CONDUCT AND SAFETY Student Conduct: Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and safe manner at all times. Inappropriate behavior may result in termination of the lesson and possible suspension from the school. Vehicle Safety: All lessons will be conducted in a vehicle that is regularly maintained and equipped with dual braking controls for the instructor. Burgess Driving School vehicles may be equipped with front and rear dashboard cameras as well as cabin cameras for the protection of all occupants. By accepting this policy you consent to the use of video recording for the sole and limited purpose of vehicle occupant safety.
